Hola. It’s time to share another update as CryptoArte continues to inch closer to its official launch (here’s Update #1). We’re almost there!

We now accept Credit Card payments (and you still get the tokens)

As stated in the About page, one of the key objectives behind CryptoArte is to help grow the Ethereum community by fostering awareness of the technology in a fun and accessible way.

 

One way we aim to do this is through the art itself (hoping it provokes thoughtful conversations around the fundamental Ethereum concepts they project such as, for example, blocks and miners). The other way is by providing newcomers easier ways to getting started. The latter is what this feature is about.

Users can now purchase CryptoArte paintings using a credit card directly from their desktop or mobile web browser. When purchasing a “Full Package” with a credit card, they get a ready to hang, signed and framed high-quality print, and also the painting’s token — which in turn gives them access to download the painting’s high-resolution, full digital image through CryptoArte.io.

 

To achieve this, we create a wallet on the buyer’s behalf and send its twelve words mnemonic in a secure envelope enclosed along with the painting being shipped. We also include our guide to Getting Started with Ethereum that covers some basic concepts and outlines simple steps to access their wallet and use it to download the painting’s high-resolution image.

With this feature, buyers that aren’t yet on Ethereum can easily purchase CryptoArte paintings, own their corresponding tokens and, if interested, get on Ethereum and start using dApps through a very low friction guided experience at their own pace.

Mobile Improvements (continued)

Users visiting CryptoArte.io from a mobile wallet app such as, for example, Coinbase Wallet, can now also download high-resolution images for paintings they own.

This adds to the mobile-specific user experience set of improvements we started working on with our previous update, and together with some of the other updates from this post make for a now seamless mobile experience.

Painting Requests enhancement

Some CryptoArte paintings are not yet minted. If you’d like to purchase with ether one of the paintings that hasn’t been minted, you’ll have to request it first (free of charge).

We have now streamlined this process so it’s as easy as entering your email address and clicking a button to submit the form. Note this step is not required for already minted paintings (check out the store) or credit card purchases (see above).
