Interstellar DEX Launches the Pre-Release of is Bulletproofs Implementation

The cryptocurrency wallet and decentralized exchange Interstellar launches the pre-sale version of the Bulletproofs implementation. This is a very important step for privacy in the cryptocurrency market. The company informed about it in a blog post a few days ago.

Interstellar Bulletproofs Implementation

The decentralized crypto exchange and wallet interstellar continues to grow. The platform has just announced the pre-sale of its Bulletproofs implementation. The main intention behind it is to provide users with better performance and enhanced privacy.

With the implementation, users will have a stable and clear interface that will allow them to create and verify range proofs. These range proofs are crucial for confidential transaction systems.

Henry de Valence, a prominent crypto developer wrote on the matter:

“We’re excited to announce a pre-release version of our Bulletproofs implementation, providing a stable interface for creating a verifying range proofs, an important building block for a range of privacy-preserving protocols.”

The crypto developer explains that the performance has also been improved. According to the official blog post, the implementation is 1.83x faster than the libescp implementation with endomorphisms. Additionally, it is 2x times faster than the libescp implementation (without endomorphisms) and 4.63x faster than the Monero (XMR) implementation.

Although aggregated range proof protocols are not extensible to the constraint system case, Interstellar was able to solve the scalability issue. They’ve extended the proving system from range proofs to arbitrary user-defined statements.

Furthermore, they also provide a clean, safe and extensible API. The post states that they have also been working on an API for building Bulletproof constraint systems using the Bellman API, used in ZCash (ZEC). According to de Valence, they will be sharing more information in the future in another blog post.

This implementation was first unveiled by Chain, a firm that was later acquired by Stellar. Later, Chain became Interstellar. Since that moment in 2014, the implementation matured and received large improvements.

Stellar is one of the largest and most valuable virtual currencies in the market. According to CoinMarketCap, Stellar (XLM) is the fifth largest cryptocurrency in the market. It has a market capitalization of $5.2 dollars and has outperformed EOS, which is now in the sixth position with a market cap of $4.8 dollars. In the near future, the cryptocurrency platform Coinbase could add support to Stellar (XLM).

This is why its price continues to increase even during a bear market. Currently, it is possible to purchase XLM coins for less than $0.28 dollars.
