Tron To Be Faster, Cheaper Than Ethereum And EOS

Justin Sun, the founder of the Tron Foundation, is very bullish about the future of the his coin’s network. On Twitter, he said that Tron will be 200x faster than Ethereum and 100x cheaper than EOS. Both Ethereum and EOS are direct competitors to Tron’s blockchain.

Justin Sun Says Tron Will be Better than EOS and Ethereum

Some days ago, Sun wrote a tweet in which he talked about Tron’s upcoming upgrade to Odyssey 3.1. Once it goes live, he mentioned that Tron will be several times cheaper than EOS and faster than Ethereum.

The tweet uploaded by Sun reads as follows:

“Based on community consensus, #TRON will be upgrading to Odyssey 3.1 at 8pm SGT. The TRON Committee function & TVM will go live, marking the start of the Smart Contract Era. TRON will be 200x faster vs ETH, 100x cheaper vs EOS. dApp developers & users, this one is for you!”

Ethereum is currently having some issues with is scalability. Tron could provide a solution to these problems by offering more than 10,000 transactions per second (TPS). Ethereum is now able to process only 25 TPS.

EOS, instead, has been created with the intention to offer a more user-friendly developer network than Ethereum. However, it has been competing with Tron as well. Sun expects Tron to be able to be cheaper than EOS.

Tron has also experienced an important price surge in the last days. Since October 4, Tron registered an increase of 29% passing from $0.0215 to $0.0278 dollars. Because of this price increase, Tron (TRX) is currently the 11th most valuable virtual currency. It has a market capitalization of $1.74 billion dollars and each token can be bought for $0.0265 dollars. At the moment of writing, Tron is growing 4.1% in the last 24 hours.

Tron has been receiving support from different companies and crypto-related platforms. For example, Bitfinex has listed TRX offering three different trading pairs with fiat currencies. Users on the platform can exchange TRX for JPY, GBP and EUR.
